I've installed a module to try and prevent spam on this forum. We've seen a resurgence of spam after it died down for a couple of months following adding captcha protection to new user registrations.
Please be on the lookout for it misbehaving. If any of your posts are blocked please let me know by PM so that we can fix it.
The Tips & Strategy section has received a long awaited overhaul to automatically mirror the Tips & Strategy forum.
What this means is that you don't need to look through the forum to find all of our user submitted strategies, you can just check the strategy section.
If you would like to contribute any tips please make a new thread in the forum where your submission will automatically be listed.
We have had quite a bit of activity over the past few weeks in terms of games set up for members of the site.
The Inaugural NPFans Tournament is well underway. Group A has almost finished. Unfortunately I am down to a couple of stars and a minor fleet but it was a fun match. Group B has started and we will shortly be starting Groups C and D. Hang around the forums for further details.
We have also engaged in a roleplaying 3 vs 3 alliance match in a random galaxy. After a false start we've reset the game and things are starting to hot up. I hope we will conduct more of these games with specific goals in future.
We also started up a promotional free to join game in a random galaxy at double speed. This one is nearly complete and I will be starting another one in a week or so. Keep scanning the premium games on Neptune's Pride if you want to join in the next one.

Friend of the site, josteinb, creator of the npCalc battle calculator has released a version for Android!
As some of you might know, I have made a "Battle Calculator" for Neptune's pride. It is at www.josteinb.com/npCalc for now, but will hopefully be integrated with this site soon
Anyways, I was procrastinating, and came up with an android app version of the calculator. It doesn't look like much at the moment, but it does what it's supposed to. Hopefully I'll find the time to brush up on the UI soon.
If you got an android phone give it a go, it's free and has no ads.

NPFans will be implementing a version of josteinb's calculator shortly but this will be ideal for Android users who want to calculate battles without taking your eyes off the numbers.

We're starting to achieve some momentum in the forums now with quite a few active members. If you're new to the site I suggest popping in to say hello as it's the most active area of this site.
Strategies are being posted to the forums at the moment, so you won't find them on the website itself.
The search function works with the website and forum, if you can't find what you're looking for just ask. This site is mainly user generated content so the more people who get involved the better!
I have started a free to join premium game on Neptune's Pride to get the word of the site out. If you've visited us after seeing this game please stop by the forums and say hello.
We're a new site with not much going on yet so get involved, start some topics and we'll get the ball rolling from there.
I have started playing Neptune's Pride and was very disappointed to find no online communities for discussing the game. I would love to talk to fellow users about strategies and experiences and as there is nothing that I know of out there I decided to start something myself.
I hope that the site will take off and people come to discuss the game, time will tell.
I haven't started advertising the site yet so if you're here and you don't see much stuff here then get in touch. I will be advertising the site as soon as I've completed the layout and added some content.
